The Affordable Standard

Welcome to The Affordable Standard. This is a sort of passion project of mine, where I’ll be documenting my journey of finding quality clothing on a realistic budget. There’s no Saks Fifth Ave, Acne Studios, or Loro Piana. Just quality clothing that you can use with multiple outfits, and I hope to help you guys build somewhat of a capsule wardrobe as I act as the test dummy and spend money to build mine. I’ve gone through a lot of trial and error which has led me to buying multiples of basically the same item, which I hope to help you readers avoid. I’ll post weekly thoughts on the blog page with recommendations and pricing of items, and my gallery will have outfits I’ve created to give some sort of inspiration. Fashion will always be subjective, and the price tag does not define your confidence or worth. This may not be your style, and that’s ok.
